About the film:
On Christmas Eve Lee Leander caught for shoplifting. This is her third offense. Her case is John Sargent. He asked the court to postpone the hearing, since it is difficult to obtain a conviction before Christmas. But John Lee sympathetic, frees her bail, but in the end takes home to his mother for Christmas. Surrounded by a loving family (especially compared to the Lee family) Lee and John fall in love with each other. This creates a new problem: how to behave on the upcoming trial?
